The Toy Boogers Backstory
The year was 2021 when a mad scientist named Dr. Douglas got obsessed with digital collectibles and started to build a teleportation machine that would allow him to teleport into the metaverse. His plan was to go there with all his friends so that they could live in cyberspace and collect as many digital toys as they wanted. Shortly after starting on the construction of this teleportation machine, a cute but mysterious hamster somehow found its way into his secret laboratory. Dr. Douglas decided to adopt the cute little hamster and named him Stash because the hamster liked to find items from around the lab and stash them in hiding places. This should have concerned Dr. Douglas, but Stash was too cute, and this lowered his guard just enough. Hastily, the construction of the teleportation machine was completed. His plan was to gather a group of his friends, who were also obsessed with toys and collectibles, and teleport as a group into cyberspace for good. They would leave the real world behind and dwell in their own digital paradise forever. The big day finally came and they activated the machine and went through its teleporting vortex. But little did they know, somehow a booger got stuck on the teleportation machine's focusing crystal and caused a critical but delightful malfunction. When they used the machine, they got multiplied, combined, and rearranged with all the crazy characters and toys in their collections as they teleported into the metaverse. They entered the scene as a wacky bunch of mismatched creatures and became known as the Toy Boogers!
SYSTEM OVERLOAD!!!
The Toy Boogers backstory immediately continues with “SYSTEM OVERLOAD!!!”, which was developed and written by Doug, along with a team from TIME Magazine’s TIME Studios division, who purchased the movie rights for it to make this chapter of the Toy Boogers story into an animated series. TIME Studios is currently seeking the partnership of an animation studio as the next step in the production. “SYSTEM OVERLOAD!!!” chronicles the epic quest of four high school kids who find the secret lab of Dr. Douglas and accidently teleport themselves into the metaverse, turn into Toy Boogers as well, and get stuck in cyberspace! Their transformations are ridiculous, but also give them new found super powers that they must learn to use and control. They embark on a fantastic adventure through the wild and wacky realms of cyberspace in order to find Dr. Douglas. He’s their only chance of escaping, that is if he’s willing to help them build a teleportation machine from inside the metaverse to teleport back out into the real world.
The Legendary Tale of a Hamster Mastermind
“The Legendary Tale of a Hamster Mastermind” is the overarching story of the Toy Boogers universe that also immediately follows the initial Toy Boogers backstory teleportation event. After Dr. Douglas and his friends teleported into the metaverse, the little hamster named Stash was left in the secret lab all alone. However, that was his plan, he was the one who put the booger on the teleportation machine's focusing crystal and knew what it would do! He outsmarted Dr. Douglas and used him and his friends as the initial step in his masterplan. He then rigged a massive hamster wheel onto the teleportation machine so that he could run through the teleportation vortex over and over again, entering the metaverse and making thousands of wild and wacky hamster combinations of himself. His hamster hoard of 11,111 hamsters became known as the Toy Stash, and the metaverse welcomed this rambunctious bunch into their universe.
“The Legendary Tale of a Hamster Mastermind” is a ridiculously epic story of what happens next in this wacky saga. It chronicles the rise of a mysterious zombie epidemic that infects the food supply of the metaverse, to the creation of a massive robot army to stop the food zombies, and to the threat of the annihilation of the metaverse itself from the dwindling power supply that this robot and zombie war demanded. It’s a hysterical adventure full of twists and turns, plotting and planning, war and conspiracy, and above all, lots of ridiculousness! The exact nature of how this full story will be released, in what particular form of media, and with what potential partner, has yet to be determined. Only bits and pieces of this legendary tale have been made public so far.
